Maui at APC Nationals, 2013

Our beautiful Maui (Ch Kingscroft As Good As It Gets) showing at the American Pointer Club 75th Anniversary National Specialty in PA last month…

Maui will turn 11 years old this year, and still absolutely loves being able to get out in the show ring and strut her stuff!! I couldnt love this bitch any more than I already do!

Available Pointer

We have a 3 year old Pointer bitch we are looking for a companion home for. Lorne is a sweet girl who just wants a couch and a family of her own. She is happy to go hiking or biking or whatever you want, but is super content to lounge around the house all day waiting for you to decide what it is that you want to do as well. She will be spayed prior to placement.

If interested, please send us a message to bjviera@gmail.comImage

Puppies! (Well, not yet…)

Long story short, we are co-breeding a litter with Jeri Lamy of Allegro Cardigans.
Lexi (GCh Woodrose Fan The Flames) flew in a week or so ago, and will be bred here in the next week to Jeri’s Nash (GCh Allegro Southern Charm). Nash is a Group winner, multi Group placer and is currently out being campaigned by Dixie in the PNW. Lexi is a group placer as well. Both are happy, silly, outgoing Cardigans. Brindles/blacks are expected. There is still room on the puppy list for those looking for companion and/or performance puppies.
Puppies are expected late May/Early June.
More information will be posted once pregnancy is confirmed.

Locke

Sometimes it’s the unexpected that keeps life interesting.
I was not planning on adding another Pointer to our crew. I figured the next Pointer would be born here. And then a couple litters were born this winter that made me go “Ohhhhhhhh”….but then Brian retired and this and that and time passed…….and then I kept seeing this handsome face on a gorgeous head with a pedigree that can’t be passed up in a great looking pup…..

And so Locke flew to us from Ohio and became Locke (or Terrapointe I Got This at Grandiose)

And he is wonderful. And fantastic. And we love so much about him.

Juno Update/Photos…

Oh Juno….Shes not been doing much but hanging out being a pet. She needs her majors to finish, but HATES anything to do with being a show dog. (Actually, I just think she HATES not being able to do what she wants to do, when she wants to do it…just like learning to sit, which has been nearly 4 years in the process, and we are still no closer than we were when she came here.) Shes just a free spirit. And thats fine. Shes silly and ackward and loves to bring you toys to show you all day long….and she doesnt complain when she gets put in a tree to have photos taken. What else could you ask for 😉Juno 188 Juno 202 Juno 249

Lorne Update…

Lorne has been a baaaaaaaaaaddddddddddd girl so far this year. She managed to rip her side open late last year, and went thru multiple sets of staples and stitches and glue before she finally decided after a month to allow it to heal properly (and we tried about every type of cone and collar and muzzle and everything else we could think of – the second you took your eyes off of her, she would tear into herself) As soon as we got her all healed up and the hair was growing back and the errant thought ran across my mind of “Wow, shes actually looking really good again…” ….she was running around the yard and caught a bolt on the gate of a fence and ripped open her side again, a few inches down and forward from the previous injury. Ugh. We were a bit better prepared for her shenanigans this time, and she has healed much quicker. *knock on wood* her scars are not looking that bad and the hair is all nearly grown back.

That being said, providing we have no more incidents, Lorne will not be back out in the show ring until probably fall, where she will be looking for the last major and the small handful of singles she needs for her Championship.

Domino Update/Photos

My little Blue man is growing up! Domino will be out showing this year selectively working towards his Championship now that he has decided to mature a bit. He turns 2 later this month and once all the Nationals hubub is over, we will finish his health testing so he can be all “official”. He is CERF Normal from Oct 2012, DM Carrier, and Fluff Clear.

Widget Update/Photos

Widget has been growing up as well. She needs both her majors and a single point to finish her Championship, although she has decided she HATES showing, and has been doing the “I can be super naughty” bit in the ring as of late. Shes got some major reserves, and hopefully we will find some majors and get her finished. Will be getting her health testing completed as she nears 2 at the end of the year so we can go ahead with breeding plans as well.
